How to print from your old wireless printer
Some of you may think it is impossible to print wireless printers age. Well, think again. Even if you own a non-wireless printer, the possibilities are endless when it comes to recent technological developments launched in the market.
However, you may need to invest in some gadgets to print your documents using the printer wirelessly old. You can also search for the wireless print servers can be used in the process. Here's how you can really make wireless printing from your printer old.
Set-up printer for wireless printing
Start with getting wireless print servers are compatible with both Wireless Network and printer. If the printer manual does not specify any compatibility with wireless print servers, do not despair. There is documentation can not say that the printer may be compatible with a server. However, you will find below that it is compatible.
You can check the compatibility through website listings. Verify this on the site of the manufacturer of the printer server and check for compatibility issues too. You may use server for printing only if you have multifunctional printers, but not for scanning and other functions.
Install the wireless print servers
You should read the manual that comes with the first server. The installation process is explained in detail through the documentation. The basic steps are:
1. Use a USB cable connect the printer to print server. Turn the printer.
2. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the server to your PC. Remember that this is important in the first part of the process for installation. You do not need this later as wireless printing.
3. Use the CD that comes with the print server and inserting it into the CD-ROM. In this part of the installation, you must configure the password together with the IP address. You should also configure the password and IP address so you can connect to the wireless network. The printer drivers will also be installed.
4. Now you can configure your server printing. This is important in order to access the wireless network. Provide with the same SSID as network name with the router. Make sure that you configure so that you can use the same mobile print channel later. If you are going to use encryption on the router, make sure that it will also enable encryption on the print server. You are then prompted to enter the password – sometimes called as an encryption key.
5. After the printer drivers are installed, Now you can disconnect the Ethernet cable between the server and PC. This will allow wireless printing later. Make sure the drivers are also installed in both teams will use the printer.
You can check if the wireless printing function by accessing the online configuration print server. You are prompted to enter the IP address, name and administrator password.
