Any way to clear hard drive without reinstalling operating system?

I want to completely take off all programs on my computer, but I dont want to have to reinstall vista because i dont have a disk for it..

Try doing a system restore. I can set mine back to the factory programs in a couple of mouse-clicks. That would eliminate most of your programs. Then go to add/remove programs to get the rest off.

How do you clear your macbooks hard drive and save stuff?

I want to clear my whole entire hard drive on my macbook but i want to keep my iphoto pictures and imovie videos.
How can i do this?

If you clear your hard drive you wil lose your operating system. I would suggest you back up your iphoto pictures and videos and delete them if you want to save space. You could reformat the drive and re-install the operating system if you wanted but you would them have to add on all the updates and some of them are really big files, and of course you would still need to back up your files.
